Let's begin with the man who unbeknownst to him, was the inspiration for Kait"s Quirks. I met Charlles Fox, a local community theatre director and actor, through a story Go! Magazine, more than a year ago. During the course of the interview I noticed he wasn't wearing shoes. In fact, he"s only worn shoes, not counting on stage, about five times in the last two and half years. He says he "just kind of forgot” one day. He, and his feet, haven’t looked back since.
"You know how good your feet feel in the middle of summer when you’re walking in the sand or on warm cedar planks? Well, my feet feel like that all the time” Snow, sleet or rain can’t cover these famous feet. When they’re cold he knows it won’t last long and he’s convinced it’s cleaner, and less stinky, than wearing shoes.
“I wash my feet at least twice a day,” he says. And it shows. His feet are clean and smooth and surprisingly free of calluses. You could even call them muscular. “I’m not a whacked out rebel,” he continues. “Whacky? Yes. A rebel? Yes, but a whacked-out rebel? No.”
